The pot's about to turn sour...maybe.

"Kenas?" The question came softly and he gave her a sly smile. "No, no it was not Kenas, and this man was not a Jedi. Simply a Force-user with a lightsaber. It seems you consort with Jedi, Senator, and now I know where your loyalties truly lie... which means I know more than likely where your husband stands. It is a fortunate slip of the tongue you made, Senator. It saves me the trouble of trying to learn your husband's true loyalties. Perhaps then we can reach an accord. You and Inquisitor Thanatos must maintain your charade for the Empire; you are of little help if marked as rebels and traitors. However... the balance has shifted too far into the darkness. The Jedi and those willing to rise against Palpatine must be sheltered; encouraged. Could your husband be a man willing to do this? Could you?"

The Senator was already on the verge of a meltdown, but she pulled herself together quickley. "So you do." She murmured. "The question is....what do we do now? I can't speak for Kal...and I will be honest....I don't know where he is. " Ilanah said as she moved.away from the windows and further into the foyer that led to the main part of.the house. "The stormtroopers are likely to.make.up a reason to try and arrest you...and that will not end up in a good place for anyone here."

"What is it that you think that I can do for you? Especially if they start getting suspicious now...."

Maximov followed Ilanah at her side as she moved deeper into the house. He considered her problem carefully: she was an Imperial senator; one who could hardly risk her life for the GenoHaradan. Her husband was an Inquisitor who was likely deep in his own cover. Still, they could both be useful.

"The stormtroopers are not an issue. I've taken care to ensure that my own extraction will occur quite soon. I doubt they will expect much. My vessel has already lifted off from the spaceport." Indeed, the purpose of the commands tapped in the datapad acted like a remote; the first giving the ship the means to leave, which it had. It was now suborbital, waiting from the pause command to land. Furthermore, Maximov's following vessel awaited his contact before it came in for a rescue.

"I will be gone before they can do anything. I think you and your husband can provide a valuable source of information for us... as well as influence the Senate."

She crossed her arms over her midsection as she walked. Her gaze swept over Dimitri thoughtfully and she stopped before she dropped down onto the edge of the sofa, and smoothed the silk skirts of her gown with her palms. "I know of a rebel group as it stands, but I do not see why everyone could not work together? To a point, at least...." Ilanah offered, though she didn't outright admit that she worked with them, and that their main leader was quite possibly her best friend.

The Senator sighed and went silent for several moments. "When....if....no, when....Kal comes home I will tell him about this meeting and see what he thinks. I am sure that he will want to meet with you also. So is there a way we can communicate? If the Empire thinks you are under my employ, which I hope that they still do at this point, then it should not be too big of a problem to contact me, or vice versa."

"A rebel group? That is all well and good. If they proved to be a valuable commodity, then my organization would be willing to ship certain goods to them, see they received warnings in the event of an Imperial attack and so forth... but never open aid. Never. The organization I serve has worked through the shadows for thousands of years, Senator. Empires and republics and kingdoms and all the like; they rise and fall in generations... but we live on.

"If you do have need of me, contact me on the Holonet. Post a bounty for a Toydarian grain merchant. Leave it unnamed. Any false name you can use will not matter. I shall look for the grain merchant portion and I shall contact you. If it is urgent, use my name, Shiv Rennick, on the Holonet. Only use that in emergency, Senator."

He crossed his arms to underline his point, taking the opportunity to tap the datapad again. "I must be going, Senator. You have much to think about."

"I am afraid, Mr. Maximov, that a full out war is going to be the only thing to stop this Empire...aid included." She murmured before she rose to her feet once again. "You will hear from me once I speak with my spouse. Toydarian grain merchant, indeed." Ilanah said before she moved over to a small desk by the window and rummaged through a leather bag that laid there. Work, obviously. She removed a small, sheer, plasticine card from the bag and handed it to him.

"My assistant, Jules' number, just in case." She offered a small smile and a shrug. "She is the best way to get to me most of the time." After a moment, she cleared her throat. "I will walk you out." Ilanah said. "Hopefully those stormtroopers will not have come back. Either way, there are still going to be questions about you being here." Already, she was mulling over the excuse she would give for it. And she was deciding when to head back to Coruscant.

"Hopefully you'll hear from us soon." She said finally as she opened the door for him, so he could to when he was ready.

The distant and rapidly growing roar of the ship's engines as it descended quickly towards them was even more audible with the door open. Accepting the card with a nod of thanks, Maximov headed onto the porch, watching the streak grow closer.

"In time, Senator. All things come with time. For now though, we wait and watch and do small tasks. Then, one day... this will all be a memory."

"I can only hope you are right, Mr. Maximov." She said as she glanced up at the approaching ship. Oddly, she felt a bit calmer about the entire situation, bespite Dimitri's vagueness. He seemed the type to be careful, so that set her at least a little at ease. Lana would stay on the lord and watch him go before she sentone of her maids out to fetch the remaining two guards on the estate.
