| "Oh, I don't mind," Stark said as he rose almost lazily. "I'll attend to the dishes and send out a few communiques that need to be sent off. Largely wedding invitation items. Afterwards, I shall join you both back here. Take as much time as you need, my love, and enjoy yourself. Jendos... keep her safe." And with that, Stark would disappear off into the kitchen.

| Ana smiled some and took Jendos' arm lightly. "I was only teasing him. I don't want to know anything he does not wish to tell me. Unless you have helpful advice. I feel quite at a loss with him sometimes.....he has everything." Ana admitted. It was so true, in more ways than one.
"I hop you know that I love him more than anything." she would reassure him, in case he had any doubts as to her intentions.

| Merced pondered it for a moment and shrugged as they walked. "Alyn has always been a private person in some regards. I feel as if I know him better than perhaps anyone, other than you. He's always been a very... hm... a very driven man. I wouldn't say he has everything; far from it in fact. He has a lot of material wealth, but until he met you, he seemed quite empty. You've changed him, Ana, and for the better. I'm quite glad you two met. He's grown up with an odd life; a pariah in some ways and an outcast. His father certainly never accepted him and as far as I know, they've never even spoken. He has no real family left to speak of."

| "That certainly doesn't put any pressure on me now, does it?" She smiled warmly and squeezed his arm lightly. "I know how he feels though. He's changed me too. I dot think I would have ever left naboo again if it hadn't been for him. So it is a good thing, despite my home sickness. I just hope I can be what he needs.
He has a family now...we both do."

| "You do have each other, that is true. However, his father is still out there... somewhere. Alyn's worked hard to overcome the family name." Merced looked curiously at Ana for a moment. "Did you study much galactic history during your schooling? Especially the years just prior to the Clone Wars? Sort of turbulent times for the Republic, if you recall. Alyn's father was involved with that mess, unfortunately."

| She nodded some. "Only a little. I studied political science mostly. And art." Ana admitted, almost ashamed of it. "But I know a little of it, yes." Shr said with a sigh. His father was someone she was sure she would not meet, but it would be good to know the man.

| "No, no I'm afraid not. I wouldn't associate myself with the man if I did. It would not likely go well. Alyn's father was something of a rogue, to put it lightly. The last anyone knew, I believe he was working alongside certain companies that were tied to the Confederacy. Well, at least before the war broke out. Iaco Stark was his father's name. It's not widely known. If anything, very few people know it. Perhaps a half-dozen and some of those are dead now. So consider yourself part of the circle of trust." Merced laughed again.

| Ana shook her head. "I didn't know his name until you just said it." She said before she cleared her throat. "No, I imagine our little family would be better off without him. I'm not sure I would want someone like that around my children. Nor would I want Alyn uncomfortable or aggravated by such a scoundrel."

| "So you see why he works so hard. He was a bastard in his grandfather's eyes and not worthy of the Malos family name, so he took Stark in order to redeem it. I'd say he's done a fair job of such and he keeps working hard. Part of why he's so driven. As for the rest? Well, he is quite ambitious but he always puts the welfare of others before himself. One of these days though, he needs to relax more. It will be nice to have him around once old man Lekpin takes the reins of Lorrd once again. Not to say Alyn hasn't been doing a good job, mind you, but his place is here."

| "You have no idea...." she murmured regarding his sentiment about Alyn not being in the senate any longer. It was probably selfish of her to feel as she did, but she wanted him here. It made her nervous to be in that huge place alone.

| "Something you should know?" Merced considered it for a moment. "I'm not sure what you mean. I have no doubt you know Alyn in ways far better than I do." Merced chuckled at his own jest and went back to thinking about it. "He's a very complicated man at times, but a very good leader. That's beyond doubt. He has a way with himself to motivate people. He doesn't always play well with others and he tends to take certain insults a bit too personally at times."

| "I am sure that I do....but that is hardly your business, is it?" Ana winked, cracking a smirk at the man. "You seem like a good man. I'm glad you agreed to come tonight and Put up with me. I am not used to all of this frippery with servants and such....if it isn't obvious.". She said.

| "Hardly putting up with, dear lady!" Merced exclaimed with some amusement. "It's pleasant to have an evening meal without all the extra people about. And of course, if you are tired we can return. Alyn will likely be done with what he must do by now. It certainly can't take that long to get some dishes done and messages sent out, and you do look a bit fatigued. Sometimes it takes a while to get used to a new schedule."

| Ana glanced up to him for a moment. "I'm pregnant, Jendos....and don't your dare tell a soul. We were going to announce it after....you know.". She said quietly, explaining everything. "I'm such an idiot, I'm sure Alyn wanted to tell you himself.". She just felt comfortable with him, and trusted him already.

Likely as not, Alyn would have mentioned it to me at one time or another; simply because you beat him to the punch is no reason to become upset at yourself."
