As for my grandfather... Lord Malos was a stuffy bastard. He never liked that mother had me with a commoner, much less one of such ill repute. The family went to incredible lengths to cover it up, actually. It was only a stroke of luck that let me learn who he was."

| Ana shook her head. "What do you mean by the end he had coming for him?" She asked, clarifying her question some. "I am glad, while you are alright talking about your past, you do not let it dictate the person you are." Ana said, but she was still curious as to what he meant.
"I am glad that I do not have to contend with anyone like that, right?"

| "My uncle was a scoundrel and he died in a shootout with some Huttese criminals in Lorrd City. Nasty bit of business and I am quite glad I was able to rescue the family name before he'd managed to ruin it. That's all old history though. As far as I know, there are no other contenders for House Malos, so I stepped down and put Jendos as the head. And as for you contending with anyone? I'm not quite sure what you mean."

| "No, no you'll never have to deal with any of that," Stark agreed with her. "As for grandfather, he's quite dead, I assure you, and no great loss if I do say so myself. My uncle though, he was the one I was discussing. The true heir and grandfather's legitimate son. Being the illegitimate son of my mother, I was rather distant in the line, but the actual blood of House Malos ends with me, now."

| She shook her head and glanced to the caterers who were bringing out plates of cake samples for them to try. "Your family is quite confusing, Alyn. It's much simpler to just not have one." She joked as she pushed a china plate over to him. "This is going to sound weird, but, I do not really like chocolate cake so much. I like the chocolate chip chiffon cake I make, but you know it just has the little flecks of chocolate in it. could we maybe go with vanilla and maybe a different filling in each layer?"

| "My family is rather confusing in a number of ways," Stark admitted. Changing the subject, he glanced at the china plate. "We can certainly do vanilla and then the different filling per layer. This is going to be a nine-level cake, you know. I'm sure there will be able to be a goodly number of combinations."

| "Nine is a bit excessive, isn't it, Alyn?" She asked as she tried a bite of a vanilla cake with a raspberry torte filling. "Oh....I like this....." She said as she picked up another piece of it on her fork to feed to Alyn if he would let her.
"You start a new bloodline with your son, you know. A fresh start to your family. One that will be great and not have the reputation of the family that....you had." Ana said.

| "Of course it's excessive and- mmmff." Stark found his mouth suddenly full of vanilla cake with a raspberry filling. Chewing and swallowing for a moment, he looked thoughtful. "Perhaps one of the smaller, upper layers? But it's not bad. As I was saying though, it is a tad excessive, but this is a wedding, after all. We may as well continue on as we began, with a bit of excessive.
"You're correct about our son... but he'll still carry the purest bloodline of House Malos; that could be a useful trait for him, in the future. Who knows what can happen, after all."

| "I didn't start this excessive mess, Alyn. You know what I wanted to do." She said as she tried a bite of another cake. This one she wasn't as fond of, but she offered a bite to Alyn regardless. Without really thinking too much about it, and with quick reflexes, Ana somehow managed to smear icing all over him. She bit her lower lip lightly to try and keep herself from burstin out with laughter, but it was quite difficult. "That rule only goes for when there is fancy hair, makeup, and gown." She giggled some. "And you're the only one who made that promise, but...." She said as she started scooting her chair away from him just in case there was some form of retribution, "I do promise not to do that at our super over the top fancy fancy wedding." Ana was still smirking lightly, but she had been trying to lighten their mood somewhat.

| Stark went wide-eyed with shock for a moment, then burst into laughter himself. Fetching a napkin from a nearby tray, he began to task of wiping down his face. "A good strategy, my love," he said ruefully. "Lure me into complacency and then strike with the cake when I am not expecting. Very well played indeed, and I concede the cake war to you." He moved towards her and knelt down before her.
"And of course, I'd never dream of doing the same to you." Even as he spoke, he brought out an icing-dipped finger to brush against her nose, ideally leaving a single smear of it on the tip of her nose. "Fortunately, you're not wearing a fancy gown, makeup or hair at the moment." His grin now was rather impish and he rapidly backpedaled to make sure she could not do the same again.

| Ana wrinkled her nose some, using a napkin to de-icing herself before she got to her feet and moved towards him. "I never knew you to give up so easily, Mr. Stark. Decorated war veteran and all, afraid of a girl and cake? I would have never thOught it." She said as she slid her arms around his neck and then pushed herself onto her toes so she could kiss him lightly. After she pulled back, however.....
SPLAT!
Where the cake had come from, the table next to them, he might not have noticed. But that was when Ana took off across the dining hall.

| With his nose and eyes full of cake, Stark spluttered, unable to see for a moment as he fumbled his way to a fresh napkin with which to wipe himself. The kiss had been ever so pleasant, but the cake? Oh, it was open warfare season. Once his eyes were clear, he was able to see Ana halfway across the hall. "Ha! A pregnant woman can run pretty fast!" He joked as he picked up a piece of cake in return and chased after her. This was one war he was not giving up on so easily, and the piece of cake in his hand would certainly find its way to her face... one way or another.

| "You wouldn't, Alyn!" She saw him coming and took refuge behind the largest thing she could find, which just happened to be one of his shadow guard. "Mother of your unborn child and all....you wouldn't want to cause too much trauma!" But she was giggling uncontrollably, and was finally feeling better and not thinking of anything other than how much he was enjoying the lightheartedness of the moment.

| Coming to a halt, he eyed Tarin Mako, judging the distance. He'd certainly be unable to splatter her with cake without getting Mako as well, which would just ruin the challenge. There had to be another way... "Trauma? A little cake in the face never hurt anyone, my love," he said with a laugh. "Besides, it might give our son a sense of the fun we have!" And with that, he lobbed the cake upwards and at an angle, much like a mortar,to where it would come down right behind Tarin and ideally hit her square on the top of her head.
